Stableford

Because we had no official club competitions last Saturday, I ran my own stableford which was very well received with 64 players entering, I popped a nearest pin out on the 16th hole and had prizes for the top four players. The winner was Walt Scott with 38 points closely followed by Eric Cooke on 37 points with Richard Hodgeson and Mark Harrison a further point away on 36 points. Nearest the pin on 16 was won by Ged Gamble. The two's club had three twos paying £22 pound each. A successful little competition and one that we may run again should we have a spare Saturday in the future.

Bank Holiday Stableford

Bank Holiday Stableford was won by Jason Allsebrook who won on a countback from John Richmond both players returned 40 points, Doug Johnson scored 38 points and Ian Crossley had 37 points.

Ladies Medal

The Ladies had their medal number three on Tuesday, the winner was Hilary Coverley with a 69 an excellent round from Hilary well done, second was Marilyn Steel with 76 and Ann Crawshaw in 3rd with 77.

Hole In One

Congratulations to John Ramsden who had a hole in one on the ninth hole during the Bank holiday stableford. He hit a nine iron on to the ninth hole.

Well done John.

 

Wilson Staff Fitting Day

Wilson will be coming to Wortley GC on Monday, 12 May so book early to avoid disappointment, the demo will be from 11am until 3pm. It is always advisable to book a 30 minute slot with the club fitter from Wilson to get the most out of the session, slots are filling up so call the shop and book in. 

You can just call down to practice ground on the day and hit shots with the Wilson Staff irons and woods but you may not get time on the launch monitor if you don't book in. I hope to see you down there on the Monday.
