We're off and running in the Winter League

Last Saturday saw the Winter League start, but I was on the last day of my holiday and thought, “if it’s this windy at Wortley, it’s going be tough!” I also thought my Dad would struggle a bit in the wind but upon my return on Sunday, whose card was top of the pile?

H Crawshaw with 39pts. Turns out that while I was away, Will and my Dad had been ‘tweaking’ his irons in the loft and lie machine and with a few degrees flatter came 39pts on a very tricky day.

It was nice of Will to turn up this Saturday, so we could get the ball rolling Winter League wise! We had 49 players enter and the top 15 will get points towards the League that will run throughout the Winter.

The top of 3 were:

1. H Crawshaw 15pts
2. M Ward 14pts
3. D Cross 13pts
