All we want to do is play golf... This is the longest January or so it feels I can remember in a long time, It seems like we haven’t played golf for months! It is nice to watch Rory and Tommy doing their thing in the sunny desert but we want play ourselves don’t we? You can only hit so many balls at the range! We crave dry grass or even wet grass, we just want a chance to put into practice all that winter range time and to try that thing you saw Henrik Stenson do on his backswing that you are sure will make 2018 your year for golfing perfection. All we need is for the rain to stop and there isn’t much, sadly we can do about that. Patience is what we need but like me I am sure you are running short of that virtue. Come on Tiger! We do have Tiger back this week at the Farmers Insurance Open on the PGA Tour which will be interesting and hopefully inspiring, if he can produce some form like he did before Xmas. Tiger plays the opening rounds with Charley Hoffman and Patrick Reed and it will be his 1st official Tour start in a year. Let’s hope his injury woes are behind him and he can have a trouble free season. Good Companions At Wortley, we have the rescheduled Good Companions to look forward to this weekend. The weather forecast looks promising so we are looking forward to seeing a few of you up here knocking the rust off your games after this golfing drought. |
