A great weekend of quality golf This weekend we had another fabulous few golfing days with Saturday been the Pro’s Competition No.3, a Stableford that was won by Gordon Jowitt with an excellent 37 points beating Walter Scott into second place on 33 points. Well done Gordon. Nearest the pin on hole 16 was won by John Richmond. Sunday it was the Presidents Centenary Medal which was won by Andrew Collings with a late in the day round of nett 67 off 4 handicap, which is excellent golf on a course that gets trickier by the day. In second place was Mick Carr who led all day with his very good score of nett 68 off 12 handicap only to be pipped at the post by Andrew. The ladies had their Medal #6 on Sunday which was won by Carole Kelly in card play of over Sandra Carr (Mum of Mick…above ) both had nett 71. Alsison Stenson and Maureen Wasden were next on nett 72.
