Who's been winning what? Saturday’s Winter League was won by Mark Harrison with 36 points in awful conditions, John Richmond and Simon Potter were second on 35 points, and Paul Hanson and Adrian Barnes scored 33 points to be next in line. Snow, wind, rain and hail were some of the peril’s golfers had to deal with.
We are nearing the final few events of the Winter League now, and so, the order of merit top ten is where players want to be for the end of season prizes.
Steve Newton still heads the table on 61 points with Simon Potter in second on 55 points. Chris Goodchild on 43 points, and Paul Hutton and Andy Benson on 41 points all well in range with two good last rounds.
37 points is currently in the top ten, so anyone around 22 points has a real chance of making the grade with good last rounds. Winter League has a week rest this week for St Patrick’s Day before the final two events on the 23rd and 30th of March.
